Hiring for the following:

The Finance Manager is responsible for supervising and administering the center finance function

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Supervises and directs the activities of accounting personnel
2.Coordinates all accounting activities with corporate accounting and payroll sections
3.Establishes controls for cash receipts and disbursements, inventory, accounting, vouchers and travel expense reporting
4.Audits vouchers for correct cost and center and expense codes, accuracy and completeness
5.Establishes the records ledger and journals to be maintained; supervises and audits the preparation and posting of records entries; approves all correcting or adjusting entries
6.Prepares all required financial statements and public vouchers in accordance with DOL and contractual requirements for approval by the Administrative Services Director
7.Corresponds with vendors and other creditors on matters pertaining to invoices
8.Responsible for ensuring that departmental equal employment and affirmative action goals of the department and objectives are met

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or work-related field. Two years accounting experience, one of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Preferred: Minimum + Three or more years accounting experience in government operations
