Facility Mechanic
1st Shift
This position is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all facility equipment which will include fire protection systems, HVAC systems for office and plant facilities, compressed air system and dust control equipment.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional education and/or certification in related vocational disciplines is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• A Minimum of 5 years of substantiated experience as a mechanical, electrical and/or HVAC technician is required.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Experienced with test and monitoring equipment and computer interface devices as required to complete tasks. Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and prints.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are required. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Must be flexible to adjust schedule in order to complete required tasks.
• Maintain GMP standards and safety practices. Observe safety and security procedures.
• Utilize personally owned tools to properly accomplish required tasks.
• Climb ladders, utilize lifts and/or scaffolding at times to heights of 70 feet and perform work at that height.
• Lift and/or move 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently and occasional lifting of 100 lbs.
• Operate hand and power tools, shop and machine tools, and personal lifting devices and powered industrial lift trucks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
