Key Responsibilities
• Develop & communicate the company’s corporate safety program
• Prepare training materials for corporate & field locations
• Work with location managers to ensure full compliance with Workers’ Compensation, DOT, OSHA, EPA & other state/local regulations
• Serve as a function expert to management in regards to safety programs
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety and workers’ compensation programs & make recommendations for changes/improvements
• Advise & assist locations in conducting accident & injury investigations including interviewing witness’ & obtaining relevant documentation
• Review accident reports to identify injury patterns & determine whether unsafe conditions contributed to the accident
• Develop relationships with 3rd party administrators & ensure adherence to contractual stipulations & legal compliance with applicable laws/regulations
Requirements:
• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience and knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regulating safety and employee benefit functions (i.e. Department of Labor & Industries, workers’ compensation, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)
