Job Description:

Buffalo Filter is a world leading medical device manufacturer and supplier of surgical smoke evacuation equipment. Our products are used to evacuate and filter hazardous smoke plume and/or aerosols created during over 95% of all surgical procedures. Proven to contain toxic gases, live cellular material (including blood fragments) and viruses, this plume may also cause respiratory and eye irritation or nausea in healthcare professionals and may create visual problems for the surgeon.

SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate Shipping (parcel, freight and ship direct as well as intercompany and intra warehouse movements), Receiving, Warehousing, Inventory Control, and Material Handling.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the work of the shipping, receiving and warehouse personnel. Must have the ability to set priorities on a daily basis.
2. Provide guidance, and administer coaching, disciplinary action and performance reviews for staff.
3. If a year-end inventory is required, must be available to support and coordinate the inventory.
4. Responsible for the cycle counting program.
5. Insure stock (Finished Goods and Raw Material) is rotated (stocked, issued and shipped) in accordance with Buffalo Filter FIFO standard operating procedures.
6. Maintain the warehouse to established good housekeeping practices and lean principles.
7. Plan and organize the warehouse layout to maximize efficiency and stocking capacity.
8. Insure shipment contents and records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, are verified for accuracy.
9. Insure that prepared documents, such as bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials are done correctly and timely
10. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures and routes, and coordinate with the FGC selected 3rd party logistics partner.
11. Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non conformance to specifications.
12. Manage the import/export process and ensures compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations.
13. Oversee the completion of paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution in a timely manner.
14. Responsible for warehousing and logistics equipment to be in working order (PM).
15. Work effectively with customer service representatives, sales, quality and production personnel in a team environment to develop multi-functional solutions for customers.
16. Ensure the shipping department adheres to safety policies and procedures, and all Buffalo Filter policies and procedures in the employee handbook to ensure safety for self and fellow employees and to ensure behavior is appropriate in the workplace.

Education & Qualifications:
1. Team work, good communication and multi-tasking skills to work closely within department.
2. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures for parcel processing.
3. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a warehouse/shipping environment.
4. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or High School Diploma with at least 10 years related experience
5. Excellent computer skills
