Compensation: $14 Hourly

SUMMARY: For entry level professionals within the manufacturing industry who may be mechanically inclined, we are holding an Open House event on November 26th as an opportunity to get a first-hand look at this dynamic organization in Lancaster, NY. If you have a High School or General Education Degree, 0-6+ month experience in Machine Operation, and basic computer skills, this opportunity may be for you! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To provide set-up and operate Rubber Molding Machines and Molds in accordance with procedures and work instructions. Maintain timely production and quality finished goods within jobs as scheduled according to policies and procedures.
• Review routers for due dates, using correct material, making corrections and/or adjustments when required to ensure efficient and effective production of product.
• Verify correct set-up of molds, presses and auxiliary equipment before machine start up.
• Responsible and accountable for: achieving adequate production levels including maintaining the expected product quality.
• Familiar with all the departments’ inspection procedures and standards. Responsible for regular monitoring of product for acceptable quality to the most recent specification.
• Troubleshooting of machines, including diagnosing various molded rubber defects.
• Run job to produce the correct quantity of product.
• Wipe down and general cleaning of molds, presses & other equipment and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Suggest changes in work methods and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department.
• Follow and implement all safety procedures according to Department Manager.
• Assist in training of new hires.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements
per the Quality System.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Vocational Degree: Preferred
Experience: 2 plus years of experience in related job experience
Computer Skills: This position will require the use of computer programs such as Oracle and Lotus Notes.
Other Requirements: This position requires the following skills including but not limited to time management, interpersonal, communication, delegation, prioritizing, scheduling, and the ability to handle
multiple tasks. Will also have some interactions with measuring devices such as calipers, durometer and scales.
