Compensation: $12 Hourly

SUMMARY: For entry level professionals within the manufacturing industry who may be mechanically inclined, we are holding an Open House event on November 26th as an opportunity to get a first-hand look at this dynamic organization in Lancaster, NY. If you have a High School or General Education Degree, 0-6+ month experience in Machine Operation, and basic computer skills, this opportunity may be for you! The position/s offer training, room for growth, flexible work schedules, and paid over-time (double-time after 45 hours).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To conduct those steps necessary to “finish” the Product and produce the finished item. This includes but is not limited to the following steps; stamping part numbers, removing parts from web, removing of cutouts, bundling and tagging usable centers, labeling product in accordance with customer specifications and departmental work instructions.
• Review and prioritize routers of stamped product.
• Based on review of router and customer specifications, employee would then perform any one of the following tasks: Creating product part number stamp and stamping product.
• Removing product from web.
• Removing cutouts from product.
• Tagging and bundling usable centers for sheeting department.
• Creating Labels indicating part number and number of pieces.
• Affix bar code label.
• Report quality problems to applicable supervisor.
• Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the fabrication system.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience: None
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary for this position, including creating labels and removing products from the web.
Other Requirements: This position requires the ability to read, understand and follow instructions. This position works with general direction and/or some supervision depending on the day’s production activity.
