SUMMARY: SUMMARY: For entry level professionals within the manufacturing industry who may be mechanically inclined, we are holding an Open House event on November 26th as an opportunity to get a first-hand look at this dynamic organization in Lancaster, NY. If you have a High School or General Education Degree, 0-6+ month experience in Machine Operation, and basic computer skills, this opportunity may be for you! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To use any one of the following automated presses; Smartpress, Preco, Niagara or Tarps, Schon, Clicker, Book, Traveling head or Ttarp in accordance with work instructions for die cutting operation in producing a die cut product to customer specification. The position offers training and room for growth, flexible work schedules, and paid over-time (double-time after 45 hours).
• Review the router for correct material, tooling, press selection and delivery date.
• Set up press with the proper tooling and depth of cut.
• Perform first piece cut and check for proper depth.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspection when required if math qualified, or send to Quality Control for
inspection.
• Run the job to produce the correct quantity of product.
• Spot check die cuts during cutting and notify supervisor of any quality or mechanical problems.
• Record accurate times on the router for each job performed.
• Bundle and tag all usable centers with traceability information as required in the work instruction.
• Follow work instructions for each area of the fabrication department.
• Follow all safety instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping as required.
• Assist in the training of new hires.
• Report quality problems to applicable supervisor.
• Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as
necessary.
• Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the fabrication system.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements
per the Quality System.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience: 0-6 plus months of experience in Machine Operation experience
Other Requirements: This position requires the following skills including but not limited to die set up, reading and
basic math. This position requires the ability to read and understand moderately complex
instructions.
