Architectural Design/Drafter in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 / year

Education:
• Associates Degree, or Bachelors Degree in Architectural Technology, or Architectural Design

Experience:
• Experience minimum of 1-2 years preferred in an Architectural office environment.
• Proficiency using AutoCad.
• Experience in commercial/residential building design.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Basic understanding of industry drawing standards.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential building codes, including the International Building Code (IBC).

Responsibilities:
• Prepare layouts and detail drawings for new or remodeled commercial buildings with the ability to verify existing conditions by field measuring.
• Develop design drawings from conceptual to completed plans for the following: concept design, building shell, façade concept, and tenant layouts for commercial, residential and hotels.
• Research code requirements and prepare coordinated CAD drawings.
• Utilize Matterport and various tools for field measurements.
• Prepare drawings of site plans (i.e. parking layout, grading, etc).
• Drafts detailed construction drawings of houses and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, elevations, etc.
• Develop tenant layouts with the ability to visualize and problem solve various design requirements to develop solutions for tenant approval.
• Research, review, understand and interpret municipality zoning/code information.
• Submit projects to municipalities for planning & final design reviews.
