2nd shift Warehouse Associate in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour

American Stainless Corporation is a specialty metals distributor located in Buffalo, NY. We supply metal materials (stainless steel, aluminum, brass and other specialty metals) to several different industries and manufacturers across New York and the Great Lakes region.

American Stainless Corporation has an opening for a 2nd shift Warehouse Associate. We are looking to add a hardworking person to our team.
The successful candidate will be reliable, understand how to maintain a safe work environment, can work well independently, as well as part of a team, can multi-task and prioritize their workload.
The position is eligible for bonus and profit-sharing opportunities and includes a paid lunch break!

Responsibilities include:
• Load and unload company flatbed trucks for next day delivery runs.
• Fill and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Receive and process inventory (weighing, inspecting, staging to rack-storage locations)
• Operating equipment including forklifts, CNC bandsaws, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Heavy lifting on occasion (50+ lbs.)
• Potential overtime as needed, based on workloads and company needs.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and correctly.
• General warehouse duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a previous work history that includes:
• Excellent attendance
• Safe work habits
• Knowledge of safe loading practices for flatbed trucks preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience
• Forklift experience preferred.
• CNC Bandsaw experience a plus.
• Knowledge of basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, essential.
• Experience with hand tools, cordless power tools and measuring tapes.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
