What types of positions to you typically hire for?
We typically hire Childcare Workers/Assistant Teachers. They can eventually
work up to Lead Teacher positions when there are openings.

What education and experience do you require?
Minimum requirements: Associate degree in Early Childhood/Childhood
Education OR a CDA (Child Development Associate) PLUS 1 year experience
caring for children.

What personal traits work best for this type of work?
PATIENCE, positive attitude, easy going, flexible, dependable, responsible,

What is a typical day like?
Engaging children in positive learning experiences in a safe environment.
Maintaining NYS rules & regulations at all times. Providing love & support for
children to grow.

Infants (6 weeks-18 months): bottle feeding/learning how to feed themselves,
working on sensory development with colors, mirrors, songs & stories, developing
gross motor skills such as crawling, standing, & walking. Tummy time, exposure
to arts & crafts (learning how to color/paint).

Toddlers (18 months-3yrs): developing all their fine & gross motor skills through
play & educational activities, learning colors, numbers, shapes, etc. teaching
through stories & music, learning sharing/taking turns. Learning how to follow
simple age appropriate directions/tasks. Developing hygiene such as hand washing
& toilet training. Developing their expressive language, vocabulary & proper

Preschool (3-5yrs): building on their foundation from toddler years; number &
letter recognition, writing their name, beginning math concepts such as counting
& patterns, reading stories and mastering retelling, beginning phonics & letter
sounds, expanding their expressive language with new higher level vocabulary,
rhyming & opposites. Basic sign language & Spanish (everyday words). Kid
fitness & yoga; making sure we move and exercise for at least 30 minutes a
day. Learning the concept of a calendar along with days of the week & months.
Educational arts & crafts, scissor skills, pencil holding, along with age appropriate experiments to teach physical science.

What we like best about our work is the smiling & happy faces of the children
we teach/care for. Helpful, supportive co workers that work well together. The
enjoyment of seeing the children grow physically, emotionally, spiritually, and
