We’re a rapidly growing logistics and fulfillment company looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high-performing team culture. This role partners closely with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate people, processes, and priorities while building a data-driven, accountable, and collaborative department.
The ideal candidate brings both operational experience and leadership capability—able to coach team leads, organize priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts using structured management systems such as weekly team huddles, KPI dashboards, and quarterly planning rhythms.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)
1. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Accuracy
• Oversee daily inbound, outbound, and storage activities to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Review WMS data and coordinate with Customer Service and Accounting to resolve order or billing variances.
• Support warehouse layout and organization improvements to increase workflow efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.

2. Safety, Compliance & Facility Standards
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe working environment through daily walk-throughs and visual management practices.
• Conduct regular team safety reminders and participate in toolbox or huddle discussions on best practices.
• Ensure all employees follow safe lifting, equipment use, and housekeeping standards.
• Track and report any incidents or near misses and participate in follow-up discussions for prevention.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.

3. Team Leadership, Coaching & Communication
• Lead and participate in weekly team huddles to communicate goals, priorities, and performance results.
• Partner with team leads to plan and track daily work assignments, ensuring clarity and accountability.
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to associates on performance, teamwork, and core values.
• Participate in quarterly development check-ins with associates and assist in creating individual growth plans.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and mentoring of new or developing team members.

4. Process Improvement & KPI Management
• Use the department’s KPI dashboard to track progress on key performance metrics such as order accuracy, productivity, and on-time fulfillment.
• Identify and address operational inefficiencies through process reviews and small-scale improvement projects.
• Document and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency across shifts and teams.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other departments to share data and align on improvement goals.
• Participate in quarterly all-hands and management planning sessions to review results and set new targets.

5. Planning, Prioritization & Department Rhythm
• Support weekly and monthly priority planning and tracking meetings to align people, process, and performance goals.
• Coordinate shift schedules, workload balance, and overtime needs with team leads.
• Prepare and review weekly performance summaries for the Warehouse Manager.
• Communicate cross-department priorities with Customer Service, Accounting, and IT to ensure workflow alignment.
• Contribute ideas and insights to quarterly and annual improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, inventory control, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with LTL and parcel shipping operations.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, communicate, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to coach and develop others and build a positive team culture with a collaborative leadership style.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
