Anticipated initial assignment is to be at various component Districts throughout Orleans and/or Niagara Counties.

The individual will provide consultation, transition support and staff development to BOCES and component district staff in order to meet the needs of students with behavioral and/or autism spectrum disorders.
The services would support both pre-school transition and school-aged programming.
Prior experience in special education, to include experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, is preferred.
Knowledge of progressive teaching approaches to include Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children, (TEACCH), Applied Behavioral Analysis/Discrete Trial Therapy, Direct Instruction, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, is preferred.
The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire.
Regular attendance and dependability are required.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
