Blind and Visually Impaired Teacher-Substitute in Medina, NY

Salary Range: $130/day days 1-30

Itinerant teacher to service students throughout Orleans and/or Niagara Counties receiving Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Vision teacher services in component school district buildings in grades kindergarten through 12.
The teacher must demonstrate the ability to align lessons to the New York State Standards.
The teacher must demonstrate the ability to plan and implement engaging learning activities and deliver instruction based upon an individual’s needs (aligned to the IEP or Section 504 Plan). The teacher must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate and interact with parents, teachers and students.
Orientation and Mobility Specialist Certification is desired.
The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire.
Regular attendance and dependability are required.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
The assignment is subject to change.

Requirement: Visual Impaired New York State Certification

Substitute teacher: $130/day days 1-30. Placement on step after 30 consecutive days.
