Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000

Litelab is an internationally renowned lighting manufacturer, specializing in custom museum-quality LED luminaires. Our mission is to empower visionaries and emerging talent in architecture and lighting design to create unique spaces by re-imagining the role that systems play in creating habitats and experiences. We currently have an immediate need for an experienced Buyer.

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services as assigned by the Purchasing Manager within the guidelines set forth in the purchasing policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Timely purchase goods and services assigned minimizing the total cost and maintaining purchasing terms, conditions, policies and procedures.
-Develop and maintain an adequate number of globally competitive suppliers necessary to support the business. Continually coaching the supplier to improved levels of service, quality and competitive pricing.
-Monitor the quality and delivery performance of suppliers constantly seeking improvement and proactively look to replace those suppliers who fail to meet our goals.
-Visit suppliers’ facilities to keep abreast of their changing capabilities, processes and quality controls
-Insures on time {expedited when necessary} delivery of goods and services purchased.
-Purchase goods and services assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
-Contributes heavily toward achieving departmental goals and driving cost savings programs.
-Ability to follow up on daily issues in a consistent and organized fashion while openly communicating with accounting.
Financial:
-Understand Litelab’s credit abilities, constraints and opportunities
-Credit terms with suppliers
-Company profitability
Administrative:
-Timely and accurate paperwork
-Correct pricing with attention to detail
-Comply with purchase order policies and procedures

Requirements & Education:
-Degree {preferred} in Business, Engineering or a combination of education and experience working a minimum of 5 years in procurement in a Manufacturing environment.
-CPM or APICS certification is helpful.
-Experience working within an ERP and/or MRP system is required. Proficient in MS Office.
-Strong negotiating skills.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000.
