Controls Engineer in Cheektowaga, NY

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000/Annual

The company has been in business for over 75 years and covers the Middle Atlantic and New England trading areas.

We have an immediate need for a Controls Engineer to support our rapidly growing electrical control panel business.

Among the key responsibilities:
System Design – engineering, design and optimization of custom electrical control panels including CAD drawings and creating appropriate Bill of Materials for various applications across a variety of industries including power generation, aerospace, automotive, pasteurization and manufacturing.
Programming – write code for PLC’s, VFD’s and HMI’s
Simulation and Modeling – utilize software to simulate and model control systems to predict performance and identify potential issues prior to implementation
Implementation and Testing – install control systems on site, conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications
Troubleshooting – diagnose and resolve issues within control systems to maintain optimal operation
Optimization – continuously analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
Technical Support – provide technical assistance to customers regarding system operation and troubleshooting

Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of control theory and principals
-Proficiency in PLC programming (various manufacturers)
-Expertise in HMI design and development
-Familiarity with VFD programming
-Electrical engineering knowledge, including circuitry and power system
-Mechanical engineering understanding to interface with machinery
-Computer-aided design (CAD) software proficiency
-Problem solving and analytical skills
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Annual salary range: $90,000-$100,000
