Fabricator-Welder in Medina, NY

Salary Range: Starting pay $18/hr.

Key Position Available:
• Fabricator-Welder 2nd shift (starting pay $18.00*)
(*Off shift adder pay additional $0.75; additional pay increase of $0.75 at 6 months and 1 year service, plus annual merit increase.)

Position Purpose:
Responsible for welding brake shoes.

Essential Functions:
-Maintain Environmental Health and Safety standards in the workplace
-Loads brake shoe parts into the fixture and verifies quality of parts.
-Keep work area clean at all times
-Work in a safe manner at all times
-Other duties as assigned
-Education and Training
-High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Qualifications:
-Good communication skills
-Must be able to work independently
-Ability to work well with others

Physical Demands:
-Must be able stand continuously for 8-12 hrs.
-Must be able to lift 25lbs
-Must be able to bend, twist and lift repetitively
-Ability to work in tight places
-Good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills
-Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations

Environmental Conditions:
-Ear and Eye protection required at all times in production areas
-Welders Face Shield or Goggles are required at all times in production area
-Exposure to a noisy work environment
-Exposure to hot and humid conditions
-Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
-Exposure to hot steel
-Exposure to fumes
-Exposure to welding arc
-Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are required at all times
