Salary Range: $31.59 per hour


The Buffalo Zoo is seeking an experienced Stationary Engineer with thorough knowledge of operation, repair and maintenance of low-pressure boilers, pumps, generators, HVAC, and other equipment.
First Class Engineer License required; City of Buffalo Chief Engineers License preferable. Experience with pumps, filters, chlorinators, ozone generators for large swimming pools or aquatic life support systems desired.

Fitness for duty test required for successful candidate to be given further consideration for position.
Full-time, non-exempt hourly Local 17 Union position.
Pay Rate $31.59 per hour; shift premium differential of $1.00 per hour for all hours worked after 6pm.
Benefits: health plan, HSA/HRA, FSA, life insurance, long term disability, dental, vision, pension plan, paid time off. Benefits available the month following successful passing of 60-day worked probation period review (sick time available upon hire).
