Salary Range: $19.00 to $22.00 hr to start

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Perform a variety of manual tasks around the shop including, but not limited to:
• Cleaning various work areas around the shop
• Cleaning machinery as part of the preventative maintenance of the equipment
• Operation of various cut off saws.
• Assist with packaging final products for shipping
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Operation of a fork-lift to move material throughout the shop

Required Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of:
• Occupational hazards and effective safety precautions of the trade.
• Measuring equipment
• Knowledge of fork-lift operation
Ability to:
• Lift arms above shoulder level.
• Clean equipment using appropriate materials.
• Move heavy objects (approx. 50 pounds)
• Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Learn job-related processes primarily through oral instruction and observation. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting.
• Utilize independent judgment in the performance of duties.
• Workdays and/or weekends as necessary.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
• Measure distance using a tape measure or other measuring device.
• Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.
• Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Additional Requirements:
• Some positions will require the performance of other essential and marginal functions depending upon work location, assignment or shift.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions in English.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to meet set tasks and goals.
• Requires understanding of basic math skills to perform mathematical calculations (i.e., convert English / Metric units, weigh materials, calculate percentages
