Lead Mechanic in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $35-$45/hr.

Lead Mechanic

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To manage a Fleet Repair and Maintenance Operations Team. Work with our team to prepare for fleet readiness and maintain Trucks and Equipment. We work in a clean and modern facility.

JOB DETAILS:
This position will be a Working Shop Lead Mechanic. The correct candidate will manage the Fleet & Facility Needs of a Site Development Company. This includes prioritizing the order of work and repairs based on the companies’ immediate needs. Additionally, determining a course of action for efficient repairs of machinery to reduce time and minimize costs of repairs and maintenance. Lastly, managing the tasks with the team that are required to maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the facility.

TASKS REQUIRED:
• Test Mechanical products and equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with Manufacturer Specifications
• Repair and/or replace worn and broken parts to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects
• Diagnose Faults or Malfunctions to determine required repairs
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine preventative maintenance on all company assets
• Examine equipment for excessive wear and report abuse to management
• Maintain a Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all equipment
• Maintain Equipment Service Records
• Source new technology that adds value added results in operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment with the use of the entire Maintenance Staff
• Take steps necessary to maintain a safe work environment
• Notify Management of any issues with equipment, facility, tools, or implements, etc., where a safety issue is present
• Able to work as part of a team with a positive attitude

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in the field or related area
• Required to have tools required to perform job duties
• Driving Record acceptable for Insurance Review Acceptance, CDL-A a plus
• Specializations and Certifications will affect compensation package.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear required safety clothing including steel toe footwear and eye protection

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift to 20 pounds Pay commensurate based on ability and experience ($35-$45/hr.)
