Licensed Mental Health Counselor in North Tonawanda, NY

Salary Range: $55,000.00-$62,000.00

Experienced candidate needed for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to work in a busy pediatric primary care office setting.

Duties consist of:
• Applying counseling methods and practices to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
• Perform behavioral health assessments and develop treatment plans using established methodologies;
• Provide short-term behavioral therapy and crises management;
• Serve as liaison between the patient and the primary care providers within the office with the treatment planning process;
• Triage incoming crises telephone calls;
• Participation with quality reporting;
• Identify and close patient gaps in care;
• Network and develop a rapport with local community and professional based organizations;
• Facilitate transition of mental health care to community providers.

Special Requirements:
• Possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as issued by the New York State Education Department at time of hiring; current Board Certification is also necessary
• Day and evening hour availability required
