Machinist Technician in Medina, NY

Key Position Available:
• Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift: Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of presses, conveyors, and other associated equipment.
($27.06-$37.45, based on experience)

Essential Functions:
-Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs on all production equipment.
-Reads and interprets equipment prints/manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance repairs and service.
-Performs all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
-Performs all lubrication and filtration duties on all equipment assigned.
-Performs project maintenance as assigned.
-Communicates at all levels within the company - Department Manager, Supervisors and Operators as well as with all members of the maintenance department.

Education and Training"
-High School Diploma or GED and related technical training.
-Minimum of five (5) years On the Job maintenance training and experience in a factory equipment environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Possess experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical applications.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and work orders.
-Must be able to use measuring equipment, welders and have own hand tools.
-Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to work well with others and work independently.
-Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
-Heavy press equipment experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:
-Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, crouch and bend.
-Frequently required to bend and maneuver in tight spaces.
-Frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
-Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to climb ladders to perform various tasks.
-Good eye / hand coordination and good motor skills.
-Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer.

Environmental Conditions:
-Exposure to a noisy work environment.
-Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
-Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water.
-Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas.
-Steel toe boots are required at all times.
