Salary Range: $51,000-$64,000

IMA Life is looking for energetic people with good work ethic to fill the Mechanical Designer position.

Mechanical Designer
Primary Position Responsibilities:
• Works under the direction of the Lead Mechanical Designer, and/or mechanical engineers to create and modify part and assembly models in 2D and 3D and generate and modify 2D drawings based on these models
• Maintain structured bills of material and parts lists for assemblies
• Reviews drawings for layout, completeness, accuracy, constructability, and adherence to internal
design/drafting standards
• Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal design/drafting standards
• Ensures that designs are consistent with internal standards, project technical requirements and scope
• Checks assigned drawings supplied by vendors, clients and other discipline groups throughout the project to ensure quality designs
• Ensures quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned design tasks
• Conforms to company core values
• Ability to comprehend, understand design concepts for large industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and like applications
• As key member of Project Team may be required to interact with customers and various internal/ external personnel
• Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility
• Consistently observe and promote SHEQ site requirements

Qualifications:
• Associates degree in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Graphics or Engineering Technology
• Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in mechanical design
• Well organized with ability to schedule own workload
• Overtime as needed
• Tonawanda, NY 14150: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Pay range: $51,000-$64,000 per year
