Key Position Available:
•Production Associate - CNC HOBB (starting pay $16.00*)
(*Off shift adder pay additional $0.75; additional pay increase of $0.75 at 6 months and 1 year service, plus annual merit increase.)

Position Purpose:
Operate all Hobbs and Rack Rollers in the department to machine splines on S-cam shafts.

Essential Functions:
-Maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety standards in the workplace
-Read work orders to determine material specifications
-Position work piece against the stops, pushes button and/or depresses pedal to activate machine
-Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions
-Check parts visually and with gauges supplied by QA Reports all abnormal conditions to Lead Person or Supervisor
-Keep machine filed with coolant and oil
-Complete work order and Hobb Dimension Reports correctly and legibly
-Follow written and oral work instruction
-Work well with supervision and co-workers
-Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Heat Treat & Rack Roller
-Work in a safe manner at all times
-Keep work area clean at all times
-Other duties as assigned

Education and Training:
-High School Diploma or GED
- Machine Operator experience helpful

Minimum Qualifications:
-Good verbal and written communication skills.
-Basic math skills
Physical Demands:
-Ability to stand continuously for 8 – 12 hours
-Ability to work in tight places
-Strength and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools to make repairs
-Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
-Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively
-Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor
-Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
-Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer

Environmental Conditions:
-Exposure to a noisy work environment
-Exposure to hot and humid conditions
-Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
-Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas
-Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area
