PT Machine Tool CNC/Programming Teacher in Niagara Falls, NY

Salary Range: salary range: $34.00 – $35.00 per hour.

Orleans Niagara BOCES/ Workforce Development Center is looking for a PT Machine Tool CNC/Programming Teacher.

Anticipated initial assignment is to be at the Workforce Development Center, Niagara Falls, NY.
• The individual will provide instruction to adult students regarding the fundamentals of manual machining using mills and lathes as well as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) in a newly created training laboratory in Niagara Falls.
• The state of the art facility is designed to provide students with current and trending skills and abilities in the field of advanced manufacturing.
• The program is scheduled to run three (3) evenings a week for a 4-month session from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a total of 160 hours.
• The individual must be able to instruct on theory and provide practical workplace hands-on opportunities.
• The candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Machine Tool and CNC manufacturing field and be able to follow a set curriculum and content specific course outline in the various areas of machining, tools and equipment required for the career.
• The individual must have the ability to perform oversight of individual student work, evaluation of progress, and forging a solid working knowledge required in the workplace.
• Individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire.
• It is anticipated that an individual would qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops.
• Prior teaching experience is desired.
• Regular attendance and dependability is required.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
• The assignment is subject to change.

Anticipated Salary: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour.
