Salary Range: $22.00-$30.00 an hour based on experience

Roswell Park Care Network, has immediate opening for a Pulmonary Function Technician (PFT). Join our Pulmonary of WNY practice in Williamsville.

• Greet patient and explain test fully and clearly to the patient.
• Take testing to physician immediately following for interpretation and potential office visit.
• Keep both labs fully stocked with all PFT supplies needed for testing.
• Inform physicians and Practice Administrator of any issues with the PFT machines or computer links. All machine repairs or parts must be approved prior to ordering.
• The PFT lab must be kept clean and dust free, all garbage is to be taken out daily, machines, tables, chairs are to be cleaned. The floors are to be kept swept and clean.
• The PFT technician must check with the providers at the end of the day prior to leaving if there is anything else needed or pending.
• PFT Technician is responsible also for Six minute testing and Oxygen qualifications.
• Review the last medical record for testing ordered and obtain hospital and consult records and testing.

Requirements:
• Associate degree in respiratory care or a related program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years as Pulmonary Function Technician.
• Excellent communication both verbal and in writing.
• PFT - Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Certified respiratory therapist (CRT) or registered respiratory therapist (RRT) credential a plus.

Compensation: $22.00-$30.00 an hour based on experience
