Salary Range: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 Yearly
Since 1968, Advanced Thermal Systems, Inc. has set the standard for design and manufacturing in packed slip type expansion joints, ball joints, and a range of complementary piping solutions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop, initiate and maintain an ISO 9000 Quality Management System.
• Act at the management representative and lead auditor for all internal/external audits.
• Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.

• Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
• May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Establish, implement and maintain the quality management system.
• Develop training to build quality awareness.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
• Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
Additional Requirements:
• Familiarity with European Pressure Equipment Directive and CE certification is recommended but not required.
• Familiarity with ASTM and ASME industry standards.
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an ABET Accredited University or a minimum of 10 years’ experience within Quality Assurance or related technical field
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9000 within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with developing, initiating and maintaining quality standards and procedures as they relate to ISO 9001 Standards.
• Experience investigating and responding to customer identified non-conformances.
• Experience related to contract review and interpretation to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
• QA project leadership or management experience a plus.
