Systems Administrator in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $64,594 to $91,932.

The Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition (NITTEC) is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our staff in the evolving regional Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Traffic Operation Center (TOC). NITTEC is a coalition of transportation agencies and stakeholders in Western New York and Southern Ontario whose role is to coordinate, operate and maintain transportation information systems.

This government position is responsible for installing, upgrading, maintaining and repairing various network and computer systems that connect to ITS field equipment such as Closed-Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Portable Variable Message Signs (PVMA) for regional ITS initiatives.

Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, project management experience, and ability to communicate effectively and command the respect of professional and technical people from various organizations. Ability to function independently with little or no supervision.

The salary range is $64,594 to $91,932. Final salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications of the individual selected.
